In Traditional Chinese Medicine, meridians are described as pathways through which Qi flows and supplies the body’s organs with energy.

What does Meridiane mean?

Meridians are energy pathways in the human body that play a central role in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). According to TCM, life energy, also called Qi, flows through these invisible channels, supplying energy to organs, tissues, and cells.

There are twelve main meridians connected to the internal organs and eight extraordinary meridians that serve additional energetic functions. Blockages or imbalances in the meridian system are believed to cause health issues.

Meridians are used in various healing practices, including acupuncture, acupressure, Shiatsu massage, and Tuina. The goal of these techniques is to balance energy flow, remove blockages, and enhance overall well-being.
